Our EMDR Certified Therapist has been using an online tool to deliver the bilateral stimulation since the pandemic.

Some prefer this tool because the visual bilateral stimulation is delivered consistently with fewer distractions from the environment—It is just your computer screen!

What matters the most is the therapist’s relationship with you and the preparation to guide you through and find the most effective approach for you in EMDR Therapy. You may end up not using the visual but finding it more helpful to tap! (yes, you are tapping on cue).

I’m Holly!

I am a trained EMDR therapist and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). I meet with clients via telehealth and in person at the West LA location.

I use somatic techniques based on Somatic Experiencing therapy and guide you through EMDR therapy to address the deeply rooted trauma in your present-day stressors.

I’m Ashley.

I see clients online only across California.

I use imagery exercises based on Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy and a parts-based approach to help you increase compassion and empathy toward yourself. This is a beautiful process to deepen EMDR therapy further.

I am an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and an EMDRIA Consultant in Training. I am trained in R-TEP and offer 4-5 sessions to treat acute trauma.

“Okay, I want to try it. But, I’m afraid EMDR therapy sessions will be too much for me.”

Facing the trauma and targeting the memories are intimidating. We start looking at those memories only after practicing some useful tools and techniques. You will first experience what it is like to attend to your body, use imagery or imagination, and be creative. Also, “pushing it through” is NOT encouraged. We work with what we can manage in each session. You have to tell me during the session if it becomes too overwhelming. Yes, the level of distress or the intensity of emotions can briefly increase at certain moments during the exercise. And usually it is brief and quickly follows with relief. Emotions get expressed and released. New perspectives and insights follow.

EMDR Therapy is not suggested when you are having active, serious dissociative experiences. It is also difficult when you block out the memories completely for very reasonable protection from risks and harm. In this case, I may step back and connect with you more through a relational approach before you are ready to dive in. It is based on my clinical judgment. A treatment plan is different for everyone. Each is individualized and tailored to the specific needs of the person. You can still start therapy with me. It is just that EMDR therapy can wait for later or does not have to be a part of your treatment plan.


If you are feeling unstable, maybe you need a higher level of care before starting therapy with me. There are some awesome DBT clinics, IOP/PHP programs, as well as the groundwork that will be helpful for you. I'm happy to connect when you are ready.

You simply need a computer (better than a phone) or a tablet so I can see you over a video for the best outcomes. You also need a stable internet connection so we are not interrupted! You do want a quiet space with privacy so you can feel comfortable and safe during our session. Please grab a box of tissues!
