“Healing requires changing our relationship to our memories. Transformation comes from investing the traumatic event with a new meaning”
What level of satisfaction do you experience in relation to yourself and others? Have you experienced someone who listens to you in a way you feel seen and heard? Do you notice the gap between your intellectual understanding of what needs to be done to improve your relationship with others, but do not know "how" to do it?
You know yourself and what you need more than anyone else.
I am here to help you achieve what you need so that you can feel a greater sense of satisfaction in your life. I am here to hold the polarized inner conflicts and support you in developing a better relationship with them.
Hi, My name is Mihyun Lee.
Mihyun, AMFT # in California
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California and employed and supervised by Ah Hyun Lee, LCSW105879.
I'm also a Somatic Movement Therapist and Certified Movement Analyst.
During the assessment period, which takes 3 to 5 sessions, I gather information about you and your relationship histories. With your collaboration, we identify challenges, limitations, and strengths. We co-create strategies to achieve what you need and want in life.
As an early childhood mental health clinician, I provide play-based dyadic therapy to develop reciprocal interactions between the child and the caregiver. I see 0-5-year-old clients at home or school on Tuesdays. If you struggle with understanding your child's emotional or behavioral needs as an adoptive, resource, or biological parent, I will be a good fit for you.
As a somatic psychotherapist, I provide simple experiential exercises to bridge the gap between your narratives and associated bodily responses. For some people, engaging in their intellectual understanding of their experience feels a safer place to be, while for others, entering a nonverbal state feels safer. We will together identify your preference and the reasons behind it. What we want to achieve in life is being with both logic and emotions.
You decided to see a therapist and know the reason. Stay with your commitment to yourself. Let's co-create more fulfilling narratives about yourself and unpleasant experiences. I will be honored to hold the sacred space for your profound journey.
